In the book “Pourquoi c’est connu? Le fabuleux destin des icônes du design” a selection of the most iconic design objects from Centre Pompidou’s extensive collection is presented. The book features the designs mainly from the 20th century, that have left a big mark on our common design history. Arne Jacobsen’s Series 7 shell chair is among these and stands side by side with other icons such as Lamp 4A by Isamu Noguchi and Alvar Aalto’s Chair 66.
The book is the latest in the series “Pourquoi c’est connu?” by author Vincent Brocvielle.
