The collaboration with HOWE began with the launch of the Tongue chair in 2013 and continued with the subsequent launch of the Munkegaard chair.

Arne Jacobsen designed the two lightweight chairs in 1955 for his new, modern municipal school project in Gentofte. They both reflect Arne Jacobsen’s ability to create functional, durable and elegant designs that could be used by both children and adults. After Arne Jacobsen’s death in 1971, production of the chairs was discontinued, but in 2013, they were relaunched in collaboration with HOWE, which has been producing designer furniture since 1928 with an emphasis on functionality and movement.
